The Stunning poster

The Stunning are back on tour over Christmas and asked Tiny Little Horse to design a poster for it so myself, Bren and Gav got to work on some rough designs to send them. These are the two I did up but they're going to go with Bren's lovely Boxer design which I'll post here when he finishes it.

It was nice having a completely open brief so I enjoyed just making these up as I went along.

Goodwood Revival

Five Illustrations I've just done for the Goodwood Revival . The brief was to draw them in a loose 50's magazine editorial style which was fun.

Ronnie Drew RIP

The boyos over at Scamp asked for submissions from everyone in the IGI to celebrate the amazing Ronnie Drew who passed away last week. The idea was to do a quick sketch of the great man. This is my one but have a look here at the rest of them, they're brilliant!

Dystopia

Dystopia part 31 which will appear in Totally Dublin September issue. I really like how Andrew connected this one to part 29.

UPDATE: Here's the two of them together. Click the image to see a bigger readable version.

Mr. Rex

I've been eyeing up these 1:4 scale T-Rex heads on ebay for about two years now and finally bit the bullet and ordered one. Just arrived yesterday and it's amazing. It's huge! The plan was to paint on it or include it in a sculpture of some sort but it's too cool to mess with.

FFFFound

Thanks to Barry and Rob for the tip off that one of my Beasts was featured on the brilliant FFFFound.com website today which is a great honour.

Beast from the window

I just got a nice new Canon G9 which I can't wait to get acquainted with. There's four zillion features on it that I need to get to know someday but for now I just discovered a cool time lapse feature which is amazingly easy to use. Anyway, I stuck it on the window ledge and pressed play and then went inside to watch The Wire for a bit and when I came out to see what it had recorded I discovered a beast had been checking my new camera out. Very short and stupid by the way but check out the sky. Oh boy I can't wait to mess around with this more and do a much longer version.

Home made kite gets stuck in the tree just as the rain starts to fall.

Big Softees Labels

We just got our littles labels back from the UK for all the Big Softees plush toys. The look really nice! I'm currently working on the Big Softees website and online shop which will go live in about two weeks.

Slant @ The Ormeau Baths Gallery

The space is amazing!

My 'Masterpiece' based on Picasso.

I spent last thursday evening in the Ormeau Baths Gallery in Belfast where the IGI exhibition Slant opened alongside two other amazing exhibitions. As promotional officer for the IGI I had spent the last three months organising the show with Feargal from the Ormeau Baths Gallery. In the end we had 18 fantastic pieces on show.

We will be posting all the artwork on Scamp in the next week or so but if you can make it to Belfast between now and the 27th of September I'd highly recommend it.

It was a great night and made even greater that Ale and Orla from the IGI were there also to fly the flag.

Lots more info about ours and the other shows here.

More Beast Sightings

I had forgotten I took this picture of this Beast joyriding at Glastonbury. They're very environmentally conscious creatures so this is a rare sight. They generally hate cars except for cool stuff like this.

I took this lying down on the ground in Powerscourt at the weekend. I was trying to capture the incredible height of these clouds, which is impossible to justify with a photo, when these two beasts slowly loomed into the frame.

I took lots of photos down there so more to follow over the next few days.
