Unflattering Portraits Electric Picnic 2008

I finally got around to resizing all the photos we took at our wonderful portrait sessions at Electric Picnic and putting them on my Flickr. Beautifully rendered depictions of the beautiful late afternoon drunks by myself, Fergal and Wickham.

I'm doing a full overhaul on my Flickr at the moment so they're the only images on it at the moment.

Tea Party

Photo I took this morning of one of the big Vodafone outdoor posters of the Cowboy and Indian enjoying some tea in the desert.

Bleedin' Rain

The fine upstanding gentlemen over at Scamp asked members of Illustrators Ireland for a quick responce to the astoundingly bad weather we had all Summer here in Ireland. That's mine above. Check out the rest of them here. Again, full of lots of amazing work.

Holiday Sketchbook

I kept a sketchbook of various characters I saw while on holiday in Portugal last week. I drew most of them on the go so they're a bit wonky but I'm pretty happy with how they look.

The lovely chaps on Scamp.ie have uploaded a bunch of the illustrations onto their site. My writing on them is bulging full of wonderful spelling mistakes, which were done on porpoise, but I've sent them revised versions with slightly better spelling on them so hopefully they'll upload that soon before I'm exposed as the doofus I am.

Click here to see the rest of them.

Vodafone Angel & Devil

Devil & Angel for Vodafone. I just spotted the lovely couple on the side of a bus this afternoon. Flew by too quickley to get a photo. Looks like I'll be running after buses again like a prat.

I'll post the last set of characters here I see them out and about.

Vodafone Cowboy & Indian

I spent the last few works working with Mark and Emma in DDFHB on a lovely new campaign for Vodafone which took lots of twists and turns before we arrived at the desired style. It was really interesting trying out various different styles along the way and I even developed a new style that I hadn't tried before so I'm very excited about exploring it. I'll post a few of them here in the next while.

I just started seeing these two guys around town today so when I get a chance I'll get some photos of them in situe and post them here.

This is the first of three different sets of characters based on similar themes so I'm looking forward to seeing them in print etc. In the meantime, these two lads can be seen enjoying a cup of tea on the Vodafone homepage here.

Snapz from the TLH Versus show.

Bad photo of the lovely print I bought by Guy Burwell.

Coupla photos from the opening of the Tiny Little Horse Versus Lil Guy Al show last Tuesday night. I have to say that the work looked amazing I was really impressed. Highly recommend a visit and the hand printed posters are really reasonable.

Non Flattering Portraits

Our wonderful sign

Fergal and Wickham at work

Here's one of them. The poor lad. More to come.

Jaypurs I've been so busy over the last two weeks I haven't made a single post. Dang it.

Here's a few shots from the Non Flattering Portraits session I did with Fergal and Wickham at Electric Picnic last weekend. I took photos of all 40 ugly portraits we did of the poor punters.

I'll post them all here when I get back from my holidays next week. As well as loads of other work I've just finished.

Bye!
