Movember

There's a great event tonight in The Button Factory as part of the Movember Month (Movember is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health). They'll be auctioning off lots of great original art based on the Moustache.

Here's my contribution to the worthy cause.

Paintings on Flickr

I'm slowly adding a back log of work onto my Flickr account. I've just uploaded a selection of paintings and soft sculptures (hand made by Ciara Brehony, Marta Bahillo and Renate Henshcke) that I worked on over the last few years. More to follow when I can find them.

Clicky here for a look.

Scamp Latest Work

Good lord I haven't had a chance to post anything here in days. I'm currently just finishing up a selection of projects so I'll make sure to start posting them here in the next few days. In the meantime check out the latest work from members of the IGI on Scamp. Great stuff again.

November Dystopia

November's Dystopia for Totally Dublin magazine.

It's all about the vote across the pond this week. Who's going to win? I know who I want to win...

Poor Dystopians don't get a choice.

Halloween on Scamp

Well, just got back from the MOST AMAZING city on the planet that is Tokyo on Sunday night. I have tons of sketches and photos and and other stuff that I can't wait to post here.

In the meantime, Scamp.ie have just uploaded the latest sketch project by the Irish Illustrators members based on Halloween. Amazing selection this time, they're getting better with each project.

That's mine above there but click here to check the rest of the lovely work out.

Beasts in Tokyo

I'm in Tokyo until the 26th so I won't get a chance to post anything here during the next week.

I can't quite get over how astounding this city is. I'll upload lots of photos and sketches and stories from our adventure when I get back to the old sod. In the meantime I spotted a Beast on the street the first night we got here. Lots more of them to come.

LIGHTS!

See you in a week!

Sign for new bar Twisted Pepper

This is a hand painted sign I did last week for a new bar on Abbey Street called Twisted Pepper. They'll be rotating the artwork for the sign every few months so it was nice to have the first stab at it. You can also just make out some great artwork in the foyer by Brian Coldrick.

Beasts on Flickr

This is the latest Beast I caught on camera out in the wild. We went to the giant amazing aquarium in Lisbon last month and there were lots of Beasts hanging out with the various bizaarro animals. More to follow.

I've also just put the first 10 Beasts up as a new set on my Flickr which I'll keep adding to as I make them.

23 New Paintings

I've just put up a new shop on my website with 23 new paintings. I've been slowly working on them over the last four months so and I'm really happy with them. It's often a good distraction from the more commercial. Good to get ones hands dirty every so often, wha?

Did I mention that all shipping is free with every purchase?

Oireachtas Leaflet

I recently worked on a Leaflet to educate school kids about a day in the life of a TD with Red Dog design in Dublin. They wanted something similar to my comic strip work so it was lots of fun drawing in this style. That's the front and back up there.

Scamp Latest Work

Lots of great new work from September on Scamp by members of the IGI.

Unflattering Portraits Electric Picnic 2008

I finally got around to resizing all the photos we took at our wonderful portrait sessions at Electric Picnic and putting them on my Flickr. Beautifully rendered depictions of the beautiful late afternoon drunks by myself, Fergal and Wickham.

I'm doing a full overhaul on my Flickr at the moment so they're the only images on it at the moment.

Tea Party

Photo I took this morning of one of the big Vodafone outdoor posters of the Cowboy and Indian enjoying some tea in the desert.

Bleedin' Rain

The fine upstanding gentlemen over at Scamp asked members of Illustrators Ireland for a quick responce to the astoundingly bad weather we had all Summer here in Ireland. That's mine above. Check out the rest of them here. Again, full of lots of amazing work.
